Nelson at Fendi

June 2019 saw Nelson, requested by Sam and the team to follow him out to Milan to work on Mens Fashion Week.  The two shows were D Squared2 and Fendi.

D squared2 the cool Italian label, showed both girls and boys in their diverse equality show in the centre of Milan.  With a red runway and cool boys cuts, Nelson was in his element making the boys hair, trimmed and quaffed to leave them polished but edgy.

Following Mens, Nelson was then requested to head to Couture in Paris, assisting Sam and team McKnight.   The dates saw Sam head up Chanel in the Grand Palais…..his regular show start time of 5am.

This season see saw the global fashion giants build a library inside the Grand Palais….yes-  a round library, with two floors and the audience sat in the centre getting an all round view.  EPIC.  The hair was a pulled back shape, strict and sharp.

Straight after this show, the next was up – Alexander Vauthier, where the hair was super clean and unique, a real beautiful lesson in individuality.  This show was also held in the Grand Palais.

THEN…. Career highlight for NB!!!!!!

Fendi wanted to dedicate their show to the late genius Karl Lagerfeld… and did they!!

Flying a core selected team from Paris to Rome, on a private Boeing Fendi jet, Nelson was part of this group… (a wee boy from Ecclefechan).

On our way we were all told the location of the show….. The Collosseum, the 2,000 year old iconic theatre.  This was something only dreams are made from and to be part of this was an honour for Nelson. A dream in hair and fashion!!  The hair was 70’s inspired and we cut 54 wigs, which were hand coloured and something to be admired.

PROUD!
