Nelson has been super busy assisting backstage in Paris for the iconic and legendary Sam McKnight.

The clip above recreates one of the looks from the Haute Couture Fall 2018 Chanel show on 26th June.

Sam’s creation was inspired by Rockabillies and all 74 models were styled with the help of his team, of which Nelson is one.

What makes Nelson Brown “Nelson”?

Serving his time backstage, working with the worlds greatest hairdressers! (Sam being No1). Giving Nelson the knowledge, the knowhow and the ability to distribute this knowledge to his team through education.

So it’s not because he takes the clothes back with him. (can you imagine Nelson in Chanel boucle???) tee tee!!!  But what it does do is keep Nelson and the NB team ahead on the latest trends from the global runways.

Paris Couture

Sunday 24th June saw Nelsons first couture show for the fall season.  Assisting Sam create the models for the designer Sonia Rykiel.  Which celebrity modelled in the show??? Georgina May Jagger and her sister Lizzie Jagger!

Directly after Chanel’s gruelling 5am call time the next show Nelson assisted on was Alexandre Vauthier.  “sometimes a simple ponytail is all you need”  this line came from Mr McKnight himself who created this elegant, effortless look with no parting and a low neckline ponytail.

Last, but by no means least the giant Italian designer Fendi closed the show season for Sam and his team… but what a way to end!!!!  Sams vision was to create a modern beehive angled up and away from the jawline.  And boy did he achieve that!!!

You can find Nelson at the salon glued to the ceiling with inspiration, love for the job and such respect for Sam and his creativity.
